Team Northern wins the National T20 Cup by defeating Balochistan in the final by 52 runs at Iqbal Stadium, on Thursday.
Umar Amin was named as man of the match, scored 60 runs from 38 balls, whereas Mohammad Rizwan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was given player of the tournament.
Northern after batting first scored 167 runs for five in 20 overs, by of half century by Umar Amin.
Ali Imran and Umar Amin started the inningswith ease and made 46 runs partnership.
Ali Imran got out on 16, whereas, Umar Amin scored a half-century and added 60 runs, with six fours and 3 sixes.
But once the openers got out, Northern lost three players very cheaply as Sohail Akhtar scored 14 and Asif Ali 10 runs while Imad Wasim got out without scoring any run.
Mohammad Nawaz (31) and Shadab Khan (25) added 58-run for 6th partnership and helped their team to post a decent total.
For Balochistan Amad Butt and Hussain Talat got 2 wickets each while Yasir Shah took 1 for 28. Chasing 168 to win, Balochistan lost two quick wickets as Imam-ul-Haq got out on 9 and Bismillah Khan got out on first ball duck.
Awais Zia and Imran Farhat tried hard and took the score to 58 when Awais ot out on 28. Balochistan lost wickets in no time and were dismissed for 115 in 18.2 overs.
Imran Farhat top-scored with 32 of 26 balls, while Haris Sohail scored 5, Hussain Talat scored 11 and Amad Butt scored 13 runs,
For Northern, Sohail Tanvir picked 3 for 27 while Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khangot 2 wickets each respectively.
Sohail Tanvir was named best bowler of the tournament bagged 14 wickets, whereas, Sohail Zia was the best batsman of the tournament scoring 276 runs.
Rohail Nazir was named best wicket-keeper of the tournament.
