Pakistan’s exports witnessed ‘strong growth’ this year, says Economic Affairs minister

Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar said in a tweet Wednesday that the nation’s exports increased by 12 percent from the financial year 2018-19, quoting State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for the origin of the data.

The minister took into his Twitter and said that Pakistan’s exports observed’strong growth’ in July-Sep 19 interval [i.e. the first quarter of current fiscal year], with Pakistan Bureau of Statistic (PBS) data as proof. The minister took into his Twitter and said that Pakistan’s exports observed’strong growth’ from July-Sep 19 interval [i.e. the first quarter of current fiscal year], together with Pakistan Bureau of Statistic (PBS) data as proof.’

Fiscal deficit has been decreased by 50% in first few months of this financial year. Primary budget balance reported a surplus of Rs 385 billion, overseas investment of $350 million came to Pakistan, and foreign exchange reserves seen an increase of $650 million. The registration of tax filers increased by 55 per cent,” the minister said while addressing a media conference on Tuesday.

The minister said that that Prime Minister Imran Khan has amicably solved the Karkey dispute with the assistance of Turkish President Tayyab Erdogan.
