Bollywood actor Sunny Deol will arrive in Pakistan on Saturday to attend the inauguration ceremony of This Kartarpur Corridor.
Confirmation of this actor’s arrival in Pakistan was also given by Chief
Minister Captain Amarinder Singh of India’s Punjab on Thursday, aaccording to the Express Tribune.
The actor turned politician is a BJP lawmaker out of India’s Gurdaspur district.
Several Indian media outlets also noted that the Indian Prime Minister’s Office has allowed Punjab Congress Leader, Navjot Singh Sidhu, to see Pakistan and take part in this Kartarpur Corridor opening service.
The leader had sought consent in the external affairs ministry to attend this occasion, after getting an invitation by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Fourteen days ahead of the inauguration of this Kartarpur corridor, India claimed on Thursday that contradictory reports have been arriving from Pakistan, with regards to if Indians will call for a passport to see the Darbar Sahib shrine.
On the other hand, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar, advised India Today that an agreement had been signed between the 2 nations, finalising the modalities of their visits and added that India will follow suit.
They say passport is required and occasionally they say it’s not required. As of this moment, there’s a bilateral agreement which given needed records,” he said.
