UAE’s Etihad, Pakistan’s PIA relaunch codeshare partnership

PIA has been serving Abu Dhabi for more than three decades, and today flies seven flights each from Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.

Etihad Airways and PIA have relaunched their own codeshare partnership to supply their clients with greater access to the airlines’ trunk paths between the UAE and Pakistan, and about Etihad services across its global network.
For his part, Nausherwan Adil, chief commercial officer of PIA, stated that this truly is a great opportunity for PIA to combine hands with Etihad Airways, linking Pakistan to UAE and around the planet, expanding reach to more destinations for the ease of valued passengers.

Telling about the news, chief commercial officer, of Eitehad Airways said,”The UAE and Pakistan share strong historical, commercial and cultural connections and this partnership with PIA, one of the earliest and most experienced airlines in Asia, can be a natural development for both carriers.

Etihad Airways currently operates two daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Islamabad, 11 weekly flights to Lahore, and a daily service to Karachi.

The codeshare flights will soon be open for sale November 13, 2019, with the travel date from November 26, said a press release issued by Etihad on Wednesday.
The partnership will see Etihad place its EY code PIA services to and from Abu Dhabi into the Pakistani cities of Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.
