Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor has hailed’Ilyas’, who stopped a man from burning a copy of the Holy Quran at Norway.
A video surfaced on social media in which a man can be seen burning a copy of this Holy Quranan through an anti-Islam rally last week in Norway. The team which held the rally goes by the name’Stop the Islamisation of Norway’.
While everyone looks about, a man whose identity isn’t known and social media is calling him Ilyas suddenly jumps over the fence and cries the man. Soon netizens took to social media to praise Ilyas for his brave act calling him’Muslim hero’ and’Defender of the Holy Quran’.
DG ISPR too took to his personal Twitter handle and’saluted brave Ilyas’ for displaying courage to prevent an absolutely deplorable action. “Such Islamophobia based provocations only market hatred and extremism. All religions are and needs to stay respectable.
Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has also condemned the act in Norway and has request that the Norwegian Government to step in immediately and take action.
